BATU JIMBAR RESIDENCE

This house is situated in the famous Batu Jimbar area masterplanned by Geoffrey Bawa in early 1970s, well known with its concept of indoor-outdoor living.

The concept for the architecture was to modify the original classical Balinese style with modern elements of ‘lightness and transparency’. The use of frameless glass, nearly no walls, all white paint and neutral colors with light wonosari stone from Java and white-washed teak are the elements to express the concept.
